Oracles & Market Resolution

Understand how real-world data is brought on-chain to determine market outcomes.

What is an Oracle?

An oracle is a bridge between the real world and the blockchain. Since smart contracts cannot access external data directly, oracles feed verified real-world information (sports scores, election results, price data) to the blockchain. Our platform uses decentralized oracle networks to ensure accuracy and reduce single points of failure.

Data Sources

We use multiple data sources for market resolution: • Official APIs (sports leagues, election commissions, financial exchanges) • Decentralized oracle networks (Chainlink, etc.) • Consensus-based verification from multiple independent sources • Manual verification for ambiguous events Using multiple sources reduces the risk of incorrect resolution.

Handling Conflicting Data

When data sources disagree: 1. The system checks the majority consensus across sources 2. If consensus cannot be reached, the event enters a review period 3. A resolution committee evaluates the evidence 4. The final determination is published with supporting evidence Transparency is maintained throughout the process.

Dispute Process

If you believe a market was resolved incorrectly: 1. Submit a dispute within 24-48 hours of resolution 2. Provide evidence supporting your claim 3. The resolution committee reviews all evidence 4. A final determination is made and published 5. If the dispute is upheld, the market resolution is corrected All dispute outcomes are documented publicly for transparency.
